Content is always king. But writing good content alone will not bring you enough visitors to read it. You have to spend some time promoting your content after you publish it on your blog or website. Promotion is mandatory for any blog to bring in the initial visitors to read your content. Once visitors land on your blog, then there are other metrics like design, loading speed, and content to retain the visitors.

You have to promote your content in the right place whether it is a Facebook group or Pinterest board or any forum. You can’t talk about kids’ toys in the financial trading group or forum. So, I have shared some websites to submit your post to get a kick start. You might promote your blog post on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn but here is the list of websites to submit your blog post.

Only posting your links or content on these websites will not bring traffic. Try to engage with other content creators or authors. Get some ideas from them, share your thoughts on their posts.

After all, what you give, you get back. This list is arranged randomly, not in the rank wise. Here is the list of websites to submit your blogpost and kickstart your traffic.

#8. Blogovin

Bloglovin’ is an excellent site to explore new articles as well as distribute your articles. Head over to the Bloglovin site and click on the Signup button and do register. After creating an account, you can follow the blogs you like and you’ll receive their new articles in your timeline feed.

Instead of posting each blog links manually to the bloglovin, you can insert a piece of HTML code into a new post and claim your blog. This will link your blog feed to the bloglovin and whenever you publish a new blog post, it will appear in the bloglovin. This will make other users follow your blog.

#7. Blogarama

Blogarama is a blog directory list where you can submit your blog and list it for free. There are paid listing plans which will approve your blog quickly and a lot of other features are included with it.

They will automatically parse your RSS feed and will list all your blog posts. Once you have registered your account, activate by clicking the link in the activation email. Then log in to your blogarama account, click on My Listings then add your blog details. As a free user, it may take a few days to accept your blog.

If you would like to feature on their top posts, then you have to go for premium plans. As a free user, you might get a decent amount of traffic to your articles.

#6. Mix

Formerly known as Stumbleupon. One of my favorite sites to drive enormous traffic to my blog. But “Mix” is not driving enough traffic as it was before “Stumbleupon”. Still, it’s a good site to submit your blog to get a decent amount of traffic.

Like other sites, you can’t link your RSS feed to publish your posts automatically. You have to post each article manually. This makes the process a little tedious, but you should make it a habit to post in the Mix after every live blogpost. Create your account, submit your blog posts manually.

#5. Blog Post Vote Up

You may hear about Reddit and this site is following the same concept. Here you can upvote or downvote the other blogger articles. There is a limit to submit articles on this website. You can submit only one article per day and you have to submit it manually. Even for some of my friend’s blogs, it had driven a good amount of traffic. It is good to try and keep it consistent.

#4. Scoop.it

Scoop.it is similar to Mix where you have to post each link manually and it has a limit to free users. Free users can post only 50posts. If you would like to post more than your old posts will be deleted. You can post more articles as a paid member and keep your old posts untouched.

If you are using a chrome browser, you can add their chrome extension and it will make your work easy.

Most probably you might come across this site. It’s a question and answer platform with millions of users. Users will post their questions, and some users will contribute their quality answers. People believe Quora more than other blog articles as the answers come directly from experienced people.

You can search for questions related to your article and share it with them. Do not spam it as Quora have strict policies, your answer may be removed. But this is the best website to grow your community.

#2. Reddit

Reddit is the fifth most popular site in the US and 18th in the world, so if you’re not using it yet you should give it a try.

You can share images, links, ask questions on any topic. Reddit has more than 5billion page views a month. You can grab your share from it as long as your content attracts Reddit users and you don’t violate their rules. They call groups as subreddit and each subreddit has a different rule. So, follow the rules before you submit a post. It may become your favorite channel to drive traffic.

You can rate other user posts by upvote or downvote.

#1. Comment on Other Blogs

This doesn’t mean you can spam on other blogs. If you find related content, and you enjoy that post then it’s better to leave a positive comment with your link. Some blogs may not accept links. So, don’t spam it. Try to build relationships with a blogger. You both should help each other. Here the motto should be either link or end up with friendship.

I’m repeating, do not become a spammer.

These are the 8 websites to submit your blogpost and kickstart your traffic. Keep in mind, you’re not a spammer. Engage with users in other platforms, publish your links wisely.
